Glasgow based quartet 'Brass Jaw' picked up the 'Ensemble of the Year' at last year's Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and it's easy to see why.
The quartet are inspirationally entertaining - sounding at one moment like a Motown horn section, and the next like a fair-sized post-bop group. Working without a traditional rythym section, Brass Jaw are truly unique in sound and direction, revealing a group that is able to adapt to almost any performance environment.
